DualMiniReader is a minimalistic bilingual reading system.
It features an intuitive interface which will be explained in the next section.
DualMiniReader features two display modes:
-
Side-by-side mode:
In this mode, text content in two different languages is shown in columns on each side of the screen.
-
Vertical mode:
In this mode, full text content for one language is shown on the top of the screen, while the bottom shows translations of individual words or phrases in a second language.
When the user clicks a word, the equivalent word in the translated text is highlighted in green.
The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.
Le rapide brun renard a sauté par-dessus le chien paresseux.
(In Vertical display mode, the translated text is displayed in a text box.)
If the word is better understood in the context of a phrase, then all the words constituting the phrase are highlighted.
The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.
快速的棕色狐狸跳過懶惰的狗。
If the clicked word doesn't have a direct translation, it is highlighted with a red color rather than a green one.
